Language Arts:
M: Vocab review. Continue reading WWII novel. HW: review vocab words and roots.
T: Begin writing rough draft of WWII research paper. HW: review vocab words and roots for quiz tomorrow.
W: QUIZ on Vocab #7, roots. Continue rough draft. HW: continue rough draft at home.
TH: Grammar. Continue novel. HW: finish rough draft and print out.
F: DUE: rough draft of WWII research paper. AIMS practice. Continue novel. HW: none.
Honors:
-schedule is same as above. Literature selections, grammar, vocabulary, and activities will differ from regular language arts class.
Goals:
The student will:
• Evaluate sources for usefulness and relevance
• Demonstrate good note-taking skills when researching a topic
• Understand and apply techniques for skimming and reading to find main idea facts
• Analyze topic and create an outline of salient points for a research paper
• Improve grammar skills with exercises and drills
• Improve vocabulary through the study of Greek and Latin roots.
